Thankful for times of sickness

For the past 3 days, everyone except Jeff and Sierra has come down with a cold. This has created a lot of bonding time for us all.

Today, the children and I were sitting on the deck just talking and all of a sudden Jacob said, "Mommy, you are the best Mommy I ever had. You know I have had quite a lot and you are the best." I said, "Oh, Jacob - I love you."  He replied, "I only wish I could go back and get all my other brothers and sisters so that they could have you as their mommy. They just don't know what they are missing. I am sad for them but happy that I have you."

I couldn't say anything but give him a hug.  To be six years old, he has been through so much. 

Lord, Thank you for this time of sickness in our house. It has brought healing to our hearts. I rejoice in all the blessings that you have given us.
