RV Parks near Del Rio, TX

We departed from Choke Canyon on January 5th, 2010.  Our next stop was Seminole Canyon but we needed to spend a few nights before arriving at the park because Seminole Canyon was closed due to a "scheduled hunt."  Therefore, we went to Del Rio, TX.  We spent the first night at Lonesome Dove R.V. Ranch.  Ms. Kathy was very nice and accommodating for our large family.  Ms. Kathy and her co-worker were easy to talk with and we found out that we were sisters in Christ. The only downfall to this park was that it is close to the highway and because the park was crowded we felt like the children didn't have enough room to play. However, we would have stayed another night except for the fact that Jeff met a friend and wanted to move down the road to talk with him some more.

We moved to Broke Mill RV Park.  Broke Mill is relatively new and just down the road from Lonesome Dove. The owner of Broke Mill  has put a lot of work into the park. One thing that I liked about this park was that they had a nice large laundry room.  They also had a fitness room, and a game/computer/TV room. The park was a great place for the children to ride bikes and the people were friendly. Jeff had several opportunities to share with the men there and I loved sharing my testimony and our journey with some ladies in the laundry room. We would visit this park again. If you are in the area and want a nice large place with a pool - stay here.
