Hopefully, as she gets older and her colon stretches out her Dysmotility will improve. If this happens, she could have the Ileostomy reversed. She received her Ileostomy during 2013. Since then, her Dysmotility issues have improved greatly. From 2013 until this past December, she was only able to take 95mls of her Tolerex formula per hour via a feeding pump. She had to be on her feeding pump for 18 hours every day.
In December 2014, we slowly started increasing her formula by 10 mls every 10-14 days and decreasing the time she was on her pump. When she was able to take 235mls every hour, for at least 2 weeks, we had the go ahead from her doctor to start baby food.
So without further ado....
KATIE IS EATING AGAIN!!
She had a choice between carrots or squash and she chose carrots. Look at her go, she is even feeding herself!
Did she like the carrots? You decide....
Yes, I think she did!!
Now she is only on her pump 7.5 hours a day.
I don't think there is anything left to say; her smile tells it all.
