Easter at Papa and Granny's 2011

It has been a long time since we have had an Easter egg hunt at Jeff's Mom's house. This was something that Sierra did each Easter when we lived in SC. It was special for all the children to have the privilege to share in the tradition.  (Don't you like their baskets?)

Andrew shakes each egg to see if it is worth keeping.

Melissa didn't have to walk far to find the first egg.

Each egg had candy or money in it. Jacob likes the candy eggs the best.

We hid 80 eggs. Well, some of them were in plain site because the adults got tired of looking for places to hide the eggs. Joshua didn't seem to mind.

Who wants to make Egg Salad with the dyed eggs? Not us! Years ago, Aunt Joetta came up with the idea of throwing the dyed eggs at the pole. Once the egg hunt is over, everyone throws eggs to see who can hit the pole the most.

This year all the children picked up the eggs that missed the pole and threw them at their daddy. I don't know if Jeff was admitting defeat or trying to recover an egg to throw back.

Then they turned the eggs on one another!

Daddy found an egg and Sierra received a hit to the head.

Hannah was still smiling at the end of the day.

I am thankful that Sierra stills loves to participate in family traditions; even though, she is now a teenager.

We all had a great time - Thanks Jimmy and Lou.
We love you!!
