Sierra trying to stay warm around the fire at site 220.

The park has several playgrounds for the children. This one is in the Day Use Area. I liked it because the monkey bars were not as high off the ground. Of course, the children liked the one at the campsite better.
One thing that we should have done while at the park was visit Penn Farm. Penn Farm is an 19th century farm located within the park. They have several restored buildings and you can take self-guided tours. Because the park is within 20 minutes of Dallas and 30 minutes of Fort Worth we found ourselves doing other things.
The only thing we didn't find desirable about the park was the bath house. They had dim lighting, hot water was limited, lots of spiders, and were not very clean. We did mention to the staff about the spiders but didn't see much improvement until Jeff went over and cleaned the ladies showers for us. (Thank you - Honey- You are so sweet!!) I will say that I saw 2 men with cleaning supplies enter the bathroom but they evidently need some lessons on cleaning. :)
We would stay at this park again because of its close proximity to Dallas but we wouldn't stay 14 days next time.
One other thing we enjoyed about our stay was Mrs. Patty, her family, and her Mom and Dad. We enjoyed meeting them, and talking with them. Also, we met a delightful couple who has been on the road full time RVing for the last 15months. They were an encouragement and even blest us with a gift. Thanks so much Mr. Jack and Mrs. Sylvia.
Upon leaving Cedar Hill, we headed to Dinosaur Valley for a short stay.
