In the town of Fort Davis there is a restaurant that should be tried by all. If you are in the area stop by The Chuck Wagon.
Our first visit to the Chuck Wagon was one afternoon after a long day. Jeff went in to check out the menu only to come back out and ask me if I would like some pancakes. I love pancakes for dinner and Jeff said that he met Cliff, the chef, and Cliff told him that he would make me any kind of pancakes I wanted. I wanted banana pecan and Cliff said, "go next door and buy some bananas and I will cook them for you." Instead, I just tried his blueberry which was not a mistake. Oh, how yummy. The children also had Blueberry Pancakes. Sierra had the Sliders which are mini cheeseburgers on a roll. During our stay, we went back several times to eat the Sliders.
When Eliza served us she was polite and informative about the area. We had a chance to find out what brought her to Fort Davis and she was a delight to our family.
On Saturdays, (I think) they have BBQ. Jeff tried the BBQ and was not disappointed. We ate at the Chuck Wagon several times during our stay at Fort Davis and didn't find anything that was not delicious.
We are looking forward to the day when we can return to Fort Davis and visit our friends, Cliff and Eliza, and eat at The Chuck Wagon. We miss you and your Pancakes!!
One of the things we are looking forward to is sampling the local cuisine! Sounds yummy.
