Hike in Sante Elena Canyon by Melissa

Today(1/2010), we went on a hike. It was almost 2 miles. We got see the Rio Grande River! On the other side of the Rio Grande River was Mexico. We stood on the United States side and could throw a rock into Mexico. 
We hike up about 800 feet and looked down into the canyon. I was surprised that Katie could do the hike. 
We went under some rocks, over some boulders and down to the river because Sierra talked Mom into letting us go. Daddy stayed back with the little kids and Katie.
This hike was cool!!!
