Chocolate Dinner Night

Tonight, I surprised the family with a Chocolate Dinner. What is a Chocolate dinner? Well, it is where everything we ate had chocolate in the dish.

Our appetizer was Chocolate Soup. It tasted more like a semi-sweet hot chocolate. All of us like it especially with the marshmallows floating on top.

The next course, was a Toss Salad with Chocolate Bacon. Oh, now don't curl up your nose until you have tried it. Sierra said that it confused her mind and taste buds. Jeff said that he would rather just have BACON and Hannah agreed.  The rest of us liked it.  Give it a try and let me know what you think.

For the entree, we had Baked Chicken with Mole Sauce.  Mole Sauce is made with onions, garlic, fire roasted tomatoes, and a variety of spices including Cocoa Powder. It was rather tasty; however, not a dish that I would make again.

For dessert, we had Chocolate Dipped Strawberries and Chocolate Dipped Grapes. These were enjoyed by all.

The Chocolate Dinner was a big success around our table. I surprised my family and everyone was talking and making memories.

  1. I LOVE THIS IDEA! My kids will go nuts for it - and maybe actually eat a full dinner without a single complaint! Thanks for sharing!
